Pitch to other blogs

Client Tamara Burgh’s series "The Enculturated White Man: If the Indians Had Won" is featured on The Endicott Studio for the Mythic Arts blog. How did she get a mention there? She saw a good fit and pitched it to them.

You don’t get what you don’t ask for!

Of course, it helps that she has fascinating subject matter and amazing work.

  1. The best giclee printer is you. The key to producing a giclee that’s an accurate reflection of the art it is reproducing is the right equipment and software, a good eye for color and the willingness to learn Photoshop’s many ways of making finite color adjustments. For an investment of under $10,000.00 (roughly the cost of your first 10 outsourced giclees) you can do it your self. Artists have a long history of learning print making skills. Our modern, computer driven era just presents different challenges. If you are computer literate and willing to take the time to train yourself, you can produce giclee prints that are every bit the equal of any commercial giclee printer. While the learning curve is steep, the rewards are substantial. I would argue that any artist in our present time that needs to rely on a third party giclee printer is giving up the artist’s most valuable assett: direct control over his/her own output.
