This session is for artists who have been at this long enough to know what they’re doing, but have hit a wall.
Maybe you’re navigating a transition, rethinking your direction, or sitting with a decision you can’t quite make on your own.
I’ve been working with visual artists since 2002, and spent a decade before that as a curator and educator at three art museums, developing a deep understanding of how art is presented, valued, and collected. That background informs everything I do with private clients.
This is a working session built around what’s most pressing in your art business right now.
Maybe that’s your pricing, how you’re talking about your work, a transition you’re navigating, a show or opportunity you’re preparing for, or something else we identify together.
Whatever it is, we’ll work through it with enough depth to move you forward.
Before I talked with you, I felt disconnected from both my art and my art business. After our Strategy Intesive, I ran straight to the library to start my research.
You gave me permission to follow my curiosity and get into the studio without necessarily sharing what I'm doing — and bite-sized actions to get the wheel rolling.
That shift in mindset gave me back my sense of purpose. I finally feel like my art and my business are pointing in the same direction. I've already joined Essentials to keep building on that.
How it works
After you sign up and pay …
I’ll ask you to complete a short questionnaire that should take about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on how much info you have at your fingertips.
I want to understand where you are, what you’ve already tried, what’s feeling stuck or unclear, and what you most want to walk away with. The more details I have, the more useful our time will be.
I’ll review your responses before we meet, along with your website and any materials you’d like me to look at in advance: your website, social media artist statement, recent pricing, or anything else directly relevant to what we’re working on.
We both come to the session prepared, not cold.
What we won't cover
This session is not designed to cover everything at once, and we won’t resolve multiple unrelated issues in 90 minutes.
We’ll home in on your most pressing issue. If we resolve it with time to spare, we’ll use that time on whatever’s next for you.
This session does not include extended follow-up or implementation support after our session.
