Make self-promotion a part of your artist ritual

When your ritual becomes habitual
you will find yourself
moving effortlessly
from not creating to creating.

So says Eric Maisel in this week’s Art Marketing Action newsletter.

Unfortunately, some of us come down with a legitimate case of summer fever and forget all about real life. That’s when ritual is more important than ever. You don’t want to lose your momentum. It would be terrible to wake up in August from your sun-induced slumber and realize that gallery season kicks off in just a few short weeks.

If you want to build momentum over the summer, consider joining Promote Your Art with Confidence. This class is all online and on your own time. I’m even trying something wacky with it and conducting the entire course on a blog. (Now’s your chance to learn blogging while you’re taking a much-needed class.)

Just in case you need to get yourself organized before you start promoting your art, my class Get Organized starts July 5.
