More About Recordkeeping

As I was writing yesterday’s Art Marketing Action newsletter about updating your resume and the blog entry about biographies, it occurred to me that you also need to be keeping track of which works of yours are being shown where and when. In other words, keep a detailed list of what you show in each exhibit.

This is easy if you have a computerized database. You enter the correct title of the exhibit, full and correct name of venue, and dates of exhibit. Then you can copy and paste in all relevant records.

This information doesn’t go on a resume, but you never know when you’ll need it.
