Want to schedule a live art-marketing seminar in your area?

You can learn all kinds of art-marketing secrets online, but there’s nothing like the energy and inspiration you can receive from being in a room full of artists for a day or weekend.

Alyson Stanfield at Ann Arbor artist workshopI love getting out from behind this computer and meeting artists in person! And I’m now booking seminars for next March and beyond. If you think you might like for me to come to your town, city, or commune, all you need to do is send me an email telling me of your interest. If you want to send chocolate in the mail, that’s fine, too.

In order to book a seminar, here’s what I need:

  • Assurance that you are well connected with other artists and willing to move mountains to help get people to come. I like to have at least 50 people in attendance. Having said that, I am willing to travel for more intimate groups and focused discussions as long as participants are interested in making the investment.
  • 6 months notice. It takes 6 months to get the word out and we start the promotions as soon as we have agreed upon everything.
  • A location! I rely on local artists to know of good, inexpensive locations. The best places are educational facilities (schools and colleges) and art centers. The room must be able to accommodate classroom style seating, which means I need chairs behind tables.

I’m open to all places, but I’m particularly interested in booking seminars in Oregon, North Carolina, Georgia, Vermont, and central Texas or the Houston area. Let’s talk!

PS I’m coming to San Francisco on November 14! Workshop info here.

  1. Hi Alyson, I am well into your book and get excited with each reading. I’m making a ‘To Do’ list of actions, starting with a marketing salon. Hope to get it registered in November and going in January through the Evergreen Artists’ Assoc.
