At David Castle’s new studio

Davidcastle

David Castle just moved to a new studio with three other artists in Denver’s ever-growing Santa Fe arts district. The big opening for what they’ve titled 4 Art Studios was Thursday night and I was delighted to drop in. (Sorry for the poor photo. Haven’t perfected taking pictures with my phone.)

David was one of the artists who participated in my art-marketing salons locally. He’s also become a good friend.

I was talking with one of the other artists there who said that David was the perfect addition to their space. She said they were willing just to stick with three artists if they didn’t find the right fourth person. I thought that was a wise move. Once someone comes into your studio or co-op space, it’s difficult to ask them to leave. You have to do the best job you can up front to ensure that it’s a good fit.
