Artist nabs feature because of her newsletter

Feldhaus
Chicago artist Anne Leuck Feldhaus got a feature on the cover of the Chicago Tribune Home & Garden section because a postcard of her art is on the refrigerator right behind Jim Carrey in his most recent film.  She said the article came about because the section’s editors are on her newsletter list (she never gets around to sending press releases).

While neither Anne nor I would encourage you to send newsletters to people with whom you have no prior relationship (especially journalists), the editors were on her list because they had mentioned her before and inquired about her work. Apparently, they’ve been following along and reading her newsletters.
