Beware! Book update

Got the proofs for I’d Rather Be in the Studio! from my printer today. They wrapped them in this nice holiday paper–as if that will soften the blow of staying up all night to go over them one more time.

And a sneak peek at my cover (which was folded, so looks slightly askew). The red rectangles at the end are flaps that fold in to the inside. A very classy paperback!

All is looking good to have in my hands by January 24. See updated book page.

All pics taken quickly with my new Canon PowerShot S5 IS, an early Christmas present from my husband.

  2. funny how things turn out exactly right… The cover is amazing!!! It is exactly great…I couldn’t visualize anything in my mind beforehand but now that I see it, it is exactly right…Wow! This is the nicest looking cover in this category that I have ever seen…I predict this will be a HUGE success…prepare to be famous…(rich comes later)… good on you… good on you…you deserve it…thanks for everything…

  3. Congratulations, Alyson! I have so much admiration for you in the creation of your book & your determination to make it right & the best it can be! Kudos to you! And you are going to LOVE that camera–I got the Canon Powershot S3 IS–which was the model from 2 years ago. (I think the only difference is less MP) It’s GREAT & I haven’t even done that much with it yet. You will love it. Hugs to you! Christine

  4. It makes such a difference to see the hard copy! Way to go Alyson! Couldn’t be a better way to tie up the ends of the year! (And congrats on the camera!)

All: Thanks for the good wishes! Sari: I’m so glad you like the cover. I’m kind of proud of it. My main goal was to have it be far more attractive than most of the artist biz books out there. Christine: I’m loving the camera. The S3 is actually the one I went in to get, but ended up with the newer model.
