If you’re near Tennessee in mid-June

News from Harriete Estel-Berman:

Signature style, material, and methods: the path to success

This Professional Development Seminar focuses on why a signature style, approach, or creative identity can be important to one’s development as an artist and in successfully establishing yourself in the market place. How does an artist balance their creative voice with the particular demands of doing business? Meeting the expectations of galleries or clients, accepting custom orders and commissions and working with the public can influence designs and impact an artist’s creative voice. Todd Reed, Cynthia Eid, John Medwedeff, along with our guest artists, will share insights into how they navigate the path between financial success and artistic reward.

WHEN:     Wednesday, June 13, 2007
TIME:        2:00 to 6:00 PM
WHERE:   The Peabody Hotel, Memphis, Tennessee
COST:       $10 covers seminar admission for the afternoon. Pay at the door.

Harriete adds: "Anyone is welcome to attend. Though this is a pre-conference program before SNAG (Society of North American Goldsmiths) the information is not media specific. Speakers will range from jewelers to larger scale public sculptors. The insurance segment features practical information in an entertaining format."
