On this 4th of July in the U.S., I wish the following for you.
Independence from staid ideas.
Independence from trying to be like everyone else.
Independence from a cluttered space and a cluttered mind.
Independence from self-doubt.
Independence from financial worry.
Independence from small thinking.
Independence from avoiding the hard work.
And just for good measure . . .
Independence from bad haircuts, mean people, and imperfect margaritas.
Happy Independence Day!
Independence from . . .

Fun post . . . have a great holiday weekend.
Hi Alyson,
A wonderful set of wishes. Although I’m not American, I accept the
gift. I wish you all the same with the extra wishes for your happiness, prosperity and tremendous success – all of which you already have. Long may that continue.
Thank you for your holiday wishes! I feel your encouragement for us to be daring, confident, and true to ourselves. Happy 4th of July to you, too! I would add “independence from self-criticism” and “independence from prejudices”… and “independence from stale cookies.”
What a great list! I will try to liberated from all the trivial stuff!
Alyson, Thank you for this post! What a great list of wishes! My favorites: Independence from trying to be like everyone else. Independence from small thinking. Independence from mean people. I think I could handle a bad Margarita but I REALLY can’t deal with mean people. Happy 4th to you! 🙂
Thanks Alyson!
Great list, I feel liberated! Happy July to you! ;o)
