Let the book parties begin!

I’m thrilled to announce the start of my studio tour for I’d Rather Be in the Studio! This is the anti-book tour, which takes me into artists’ studios rather than bookstores. Because that’s where you’d rather be, right? The studio? Of course, I can’t promise that a bookstore won’t appear on the schedule from time to time.

It’s also kind of a phantom tour–you just never know where I’ll show up. There’s no rhyme or reason to this. Just places I’m visiting or want to visit.

Avestudio

My first stop is the Armory Arts Village in Jackson, Michigan. Friday, March 14, 4-6 p.m. Just drop in!

My next stop is Jan Carson’s Moon-Lily Studio and Gallery in Fort Collins, Colorado. Wednesday, March 26, 5-8 p.m. Drop in! (Benefiting Arts Alive Fort Collins.)

I’ll post more soon. But check this schedule out if you’re in or near OK, TX or CO.

Very creative, Alyson. This is a great idea. I often write, in my Promote Your Prose column, for Absolute Markets, that authors should look for unique places for promoting their books other than bookstores.

Yes, Mary Emma. It just makes sense to go to studios, doesn’t it? And I hear nightmares about booksignings in book stores–unless you have a following in that location. I look forward to your participation in my upcoming Blog Tour!
